Stephen “The Duckman” Wiesner was born on June 16, 1954, in St. Paul, Minnesota to Thomas Sr. and Dorothy (Braasch) Wiesner. He attended North St. Paul High School.
On September 5, 1987, Stephen married Cassandra Graves. They later divorced but the family bond continued. Stephen loved raising ducks and caring for all animals. He was an all-around conservationist and humanitarian. He lived a life full of experiences and was an independent spirit. Many will remember his Fu Manchu mustache, being a champion foosball player, pool shark, and a very good musician, playing bass, drums, guitar and singing. He also enjoyed sketching, mostly of wildlife. Stephen was very handy, a jack of all trades and enjoyed doing carpentry projects. He always cheered on the underdogs and would do anything to help people succeed. Most of all, Stephen loved to be with his family, especially his children.
Stephen passed away on Monday, July 11, 2022, at Vibra Hospital in Fargo at the age of 68, after complications with his diabetes. He is survived by his daughter, Stephanie Wiesner of Alexandria; sons, Steven Dimitri LeMire, Drake Wiesner of Alexandria and Scout Wiesner of Wahpeton; grandchildren, Mia and Jackson Wiesner, Lily, Lucy and Sammy LeMire; brothers, Thomas Jr. (Georgia) Wiesner of Nashville, TN, and William Wiesner of Kensington; niece and nephews, Sarah (Michael) Walker, Matthew, William Jr., and Jeffrey Wiesner.
