Adeline Ella (nee Splittgerber) Miller, 89, Alexandria, died Wednesday, March 11, 2009 at Douglas County Hospital. Adeline was born April 23, 1919 in Fergus Falls, MN to August and Dorathea (Siems) Splittgerber. Adeline was employed at Douglas County Hospital from January 7, 1974 to May 28, 1984. She met many friends, thoroughly enjoyed her job and especially her friendship with Bill Flaig and Sister Patrice. Adeline was preceded in death by her infant son, Richard Franklin Miller. She is survived by her sons, Gordon (Janell) Miller of Broken Arrow, OK; Gary (Vangie) Miller of Nelson, MN; Gale (Abby) Miller of St. Paul, MN; and daughters, Gwen (Scott) Schewe of Hudson, WI; Gloria (Fred) Carlson of Evansville, MN; Garnet Miller (Stephen) Imbrock of Victoria, MN; and Geraldine Miller. She is also survived by her sisters, Esther (Archie) Dokken and Mary (Frankie) Swenson and many nieces, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Adeline's life centered around her faith, family, and friends. She lived her life for her children. We are all better because of her. Funeral services were held on Monday, March 16, 2009 at Zion Lutheran Church in Alexandria. Rev. David Hinz and Rev. Terry Finnern officiated. Irma Brockberg, Gordon Miller, Jr. and Dan Olson provided music. Interment followed in the Kinkead Cemetery in Alexandria. Casket bearers included Stephen Imbrock, Gary Miller, Gary Miller, Jr., Matthew Schewe, Fred Carlson and Ryan Carlson. Arrangements are with Anderson Funeral Home in Alexandria:
