Mrs. Ralph C. (Adeline) Peterson, Age 94, died peacefully on February 4th, 2015 at Bethany Home in Alexandria MN. Adeline was born on July 6th, 1920 to Frank and Hervida (Johnson) Nyquist. They lived on several farms in Murray County when she was growing up.
Adeline completed high school at Minnehaha Academy in Minneapolis and worked as a secretary for the city for three years. She moved to Pipestone and worked there as a bookkeeper.
On February 10th, 1951 Adeline married the love of her life Ralph C. Peterson of Brandon, MN. They both worked in Slayton, MN until moving to Alexandria, MN in 1957. She started working at Lake Region Co-op in February 1961. She worked there until 1982.
Adeline enjoyed spending time with her family and having laughs with her grandchildren. Baking and gardening were her specialties. She also was very talented with her tatting and embroidery skills. She never missed a chance to play cards and board games with friends and family.
She is preceded in death by her husband, her parents and her sister Francis Nyquist.
She is survived by her two sons, Robert (Rose) Peterson and Richard (Patty) Peterson. Her four grandchildren Felicia (Kellen) Morrissey, Caleb (Jessica) Peterson, Alison (Jeff) Anderson, and Lindsey (Anthony) Toenyan and her 7 great grandchildren; step grandchild, Jewel Barsaloux; four step great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held on Friday, February 6, 2015, 2:00 PM at Cornerstone Church. Burial will be at Evergreen Cemetery in Alexandria. Arrangements were with the Anderson Funeral Home. www.andersonfuneral.net
