Agnes Paulson

Agnes Josephine (Revier) Paulson was born May 17, 1930 to Ralph and Theresia (Voltin) Revier in Ray, North Dakota. She was one of fourteen children. Agnes graduated from Redwood Falls High School, and then attended Lamberton Teachers' Training Department in 1948. She proceeded to teach in a one-room school for two years in Echo, Minnesota. In 1950, she met Raymond C. Paulson, Sr. at the Redwood Falls county fair. They began dating that winter and were married on July 28, 1951. Coincidently, Raymond was born in Revere, Minnesota. Agnes and he lived in Oregon and several places throughout Minnesota. They shared many life experiences and generated many friendships and stories. During their 48 years of marriage, Agnes and Raymond brought ten children into the world: Bonita (John) Leesch, Bradley (Debra) Paulson, Kathleen (Tim) Larson, Raymond Paulson, Jr., Peggy (Bill) Hodge, Michelle (Terry) LaCroix, Theodore Paulson, Gary Paulson, James Paulson, Theresa (Les) Ball. Their legacy continues with eighteen grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren, and more to come. Agnes and Raymond provided a loving home and taught their family by example. Agnes was a strong woman who endured life's challenges with much dignity and grace. She witnessed many miracles in her time; each held a message based on her faith and trust in God. She was selfless and had an incredible sense of humor. She appreciated wonders in nature, the beauty of music, the love of family and friends Agnes was widowed in 1999 and is survived by her brother Ralph (Jan) Revier, Sister Mary Sarto Revier, and Ann (Revier) Dixon, all of Redwood Falls, Minnesota. Also survived by sisters Gladys Paulson Matzke of Springfield, Grace Paulson Clark of Windom, Eunice Revier of Mahnomen, Elizabeth Revier of Mahnomen, Charles (Dee) O?Hearn of St. Paul, and many nieces and nephews. Her children remain, though scattered throughout Arizona, Texas and Minnesota. Agnes will be greatly missed, but we count our time with her as a blessing. A Memorial Mass will be held on Thursday, July 22, 2010 at 1PM at St. Mary?s Catholic Church in Alexandria. Visitation will be held from 11-1PM at the church prior to the memorial mass. Interment will be in the church cemetery. Arrangements are with the Anderson Funeral Home of Alexandria.
