Agnes Beatrice Reynolds was born at home near Brandon, MN on August 23, 1909 the daughter of John and Alice (Olson) Feigum. She attended School District 44 in Urness Township. The family moved to Alexandria in 1921. Agnes was baptized at St. Petri Lutheran Church in Urness Township and was confirmed at First Lutheran Church in Alexandria. On August 20, 1933 she was united in marriage to George Reynolds and remained a homemaker in Alexandria for the rest of her life. She was blessed with three children, six grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren. Agnes lost her eyesight at age 45. She attended Braille Sight Saving School in Faribault, MN where she learned coping skills for the blind. Of utmost importance to her was staying in touch with her family and friends by sending greeting cards and typing letters. She was a resident of Viking Towers for 32 years. Agnes died at Knute Nelson Memorial Home on May 28, 2008, at the age of 98. Surviving are her children: Jan (Paul) Fynskov of Clear Lake, IA, Glenn (Joyce) Reynolds of Carlsbad, CA, and Dennis (Diane) Reynolds of Salem, OR. Also surviving are six grandchildren: Tim Fynskov, Todd Fynskov, Bruce Reynolds, Dale Reynolds, Carolyn Zimring and Jim (Chandako) Reynolds, and eleven great grandchildren. Agnes was preceded in death by her parents, four infant brothers, one infant sister and five adult sisters. A funeral service was held on Monday, June 2, 2008 at First Lutheran Church with Rev. Greg Billberg officiating. Interment was in St. Petri Lutheran Cemetery in Brandon, MN. Arrangements were with the Anderson Funeral Home.
