Albert Phillip Henrickson, a life-long resident of Birchdale, MN, died April 13,2014, on his 94th birthday at Grand Arbor in Alexandria MN. A memorial service will be held April 19, 2014, at 11:00 AM at the United Congregational Church in Birchdale. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Rev. John Tschudy will officiate. Albert was born April 13, 1920, on the family farm in Birchdale. He graduated from Indus High School in 1938. Albert married Phyllis Robertson June 19, 1943. Albert spent his years farming and hauling pulp with Phyllis by his side as they raised their children. He played catcher on the town baseball team for many years and loved deer hunting - bagging a large buck when he was 92. He served for many years on the Birchdale Cemetery Board. In retirement they enjoyed traveling and spending time with their children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Albert is survived by his wife Phyllis, daughters, Judy (William) Imes, Easthampton, MA, Janice (David) Imes, Birchdale, and son, Stuart (Evelyn) Henrickson, Alexandria. Also surviving are his sister, Ella Masterson, Chula Vista, CA; grandchildren, Gregory Imes, Vadnais Heights, MN, Christopher Imes, Bensenville, IL, Ann Imes, Los Angeles, CA, Rachel (Greg) Truckenmiller, Johnston, NY, Beth (Ken) Burrow, Waverly, IA, Sarah (Andy) Keller, Londonderry, NH, Maria (Keith) Johanneson, Ft. Myers Beach, FL, and ten great-grandchildren. Albert was preceded in death by two brothers and a sister. Memorials are preferred to United Congregational Church or Knute Nelson Foundation.
