Andrew Gill

Andrew Eugene Gill was born on May 4, 1966, the son of Donald and Veronica (Schwegel) Gill. He was baptized and confirmed at St. Leo?s Catholic Church in Casselton, ND. Andy graduated from Central Cass Public School in Casselton, ND. During and after school Andy worked for many local farmers, including SB&B Farms of Casselton. After graduation he attended one year at Moorhead Tech, majoring in fun and socializing. Andy moved to Becker, MN to work at K&O Farms raising potatoes. Frank always joked that he made the mistake of letting Andy off to go to We-Fest because that?s where he met Carla and lost a good worker. Andy married Carla Revering on June 11, 1994, and moved to the Willmar area where he worked at West Central steel as a press break operator. On August 14, 1997, their daughter, McKenzie was born. Andy always teased Carla that they moved to Alexandria because she got homesick. In Alexandria, he worked at MN Electric Supply on the Sales Counter where he met many good friends and knew Alexandria was the place he wanted to live. On March 29, 2001, daughter, Hailey was born. Andy worked at MN Electric until May of 2008 when health reasons required him to leave. The Gill family attended St. Mary?s Catholic Church. He was loved by many and always had a quick wit and was never without a joke to tell. Andy was everyone?s buddy and was always the life of the party. Even though he would joke about having to live with all girls, there was absolutely nothing he wouldn?t do for them. They were the love of his life. Andy had many hobbies that he enjoyed, which included: deer hunting, ice fishing, bowling, playing cards, working with wood, camping with family and friends and reading Louis L?amour books. Andy went to be with Jesus on April 11th, 2009. He is survived by his wife, Carla of almost 15 years, two daughters: McKenzie & Hailey of Alexandria; parents: Donald and Veronica Gill of Durbin, ND; Grand/Godparent, Eugene Schwegel of Rice, MN; brother, Peter (Kristie) Gill of Wabeno, WI; sisters: Linda (Brian) Roy of Wheatland, ND, Mary (Rob) Wieers of Fargo, ND; father & mother-in-law: Henry& Elsie Revering of Garfield, MN; grandfather, Gilbert Hiebel of Alexandria; brother-in-law, Jerry (Steph) Revering of Garfield, MN; sister-in-law, Lisa (Bob) Hagedorn of Alexandria, MN; nieces and nephews: Josh, Becka (Zack Wohl), Brandon Roy, Alissa, Adam, Kory Gill; Maddie, Wade and Sam Revering; Jenna Hagedorn; several aunts, uncles and cousins. Andy was preceded in death by his grandparents: Joseph & Gertrude Gill; grand/godmother, Olivia Schwegel; grandparents: Henry & Anna Revering and Irene Hiebel and nephews: Caden and Corbin Hagedorn. Visitation will be on Wednesday, April 15th from 4-8 p.m. at the Anderson Funeral Home with a prayer service at 6:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, April 16, 2009, 11:00 a.m. at St. Mary?s Catholic Church in Alexandria. Burial will be at St. Mary?s Cemetery. Pallbearers were Randy Gill, Richard Gill, Scott Sherman, Troy Gust, Erick Miller and Dan Loken. Honorary Pallbearers were his godchildren: Josh Roy, Alissa Gill, Sam Revering.
