Andrew Hawkinson

OBITUARY Andrew Thomas Hawkinson was born on December 3, 1988 in Wadena, MN the son of David and Sue Hawkinson. Andy grew up in Alexandria and Fargo, and graduated from Fargo South High School in 2007. He was involved in hockey, baseball and go-kart racing. He then continued his education at WyoTech graduating with honors and a degree of Collision/Refinishing Technology and Street Rod Management. Andy moved to Williston, ND in 2010 to work in the oil field, and was employed with Weatherford International. He was recently promoted to service coordinator within the company. Andy was an energetic, fun, loving young man who had a kind heart and enjoyed life. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and winter sports like snowmobiling and snowboarding. He also enjoyed classic auto body finishing. Andy?s life of 24 years consisted of unconditional love from his parents, brothers and sisters, and friends. He loved them all and enjoyed being coined the ?Fun Uncle? to his nieces and nephews. Throughout his life he always wanted things to be done a certain way. His precise attention to detail and his perfectionist attitude allowed him to excel in all phases of his life. Professionally he became known as the man who knew how to fix problems. Personally he became an extraordinary father to his son Brady. Andy?s infectious smile and one of a kind laugh will always be remembered by those who knew and loved him. Andy joined the Lord on Monday, October 21, 2013 at the USD Medical Center Sanford Health in Sioux Falls, SD at the age 24 years old. He is survived by his loving family, son Brady Hawkinson of Williston, ND; father David Hawkinson (Amy Miller) of Fargo, ND; mother Sue Hawkinson (Mark Scheller) of Osakis, MN; life partner Chelsey Ogurchak of Williston, ND; brothers Josh (Jackie) Hawkinson of Cokato, MN and Evan Miller of Fargo, ND; sisters Katie (Travis) DeGier of Carlos, MN, Abby Scheller of Osakis, MN, Erika Miller and Ellie Miller both of Fargo, ND; grandparents Donald and Marilyn Hawkinson of Gold Canyon, AZ; niece Alexa DeGier of Carlos, MN; nephews Zack Hawkinson of Cokato, MN; and Easton DeGier of Carlos, MN; uncles Tim (Terri) Weinhandl of Casper, WY, Mike Weinhandl of Pillager, MN, and Don (Dawn) Hawkinson of Fargo, ND; aunts Cori Weinhandl of Alexandria, Becky (Bruce) Smith of Elk River, MN, Cheryl Hawkinson (Richard Keck) of Dublin, OH, and Lori (Tony) Kleinjan of Memphis, TN; and by many cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandparents Tom and Evonne Weinhandl. A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 25, 2013 at Calvary Lutheran Church in Alexandria, MN with the Reverend Mike Widner and organist Amy Engel. Casket Bearers will be Timothy Weinhandl, Michael Weinhandl, Donald Hawkinson, D.J. Hawkinson, Eric Bollinger, Randy Schmitz, Ryan Schmitz, and Jaden Austreim.
