Warren ?Andy? Andert passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 20, 2013. Warren was born on June 28, 1924, in Hope, North Dakota the son of George and Mary (Crosby) Andert. Andy had two siblings a brother, Bob and sister, Mary Elizabeth. After graduating from Detroit Lakes High School at the age of 16 Andy enlisted in the US Navy and served his country for six years. Andy married Ardella (Neumann) Andert on August 30, 1946. He attended St. Cloud State College after his discharge from the service. Upon receiving his degree he taught in Swanville, Silver Bay, Browns Valley. The couple also lived in Canby for several years. Andy then decided to get his Masters Degree and received a double Masters and continued working in several different avenues in Education until his retirement. During their retirement years Andy and Ardella continued to do things they enjoyed which included taking trips to the British Isles and Mexico. On their 50th Wedding Anniversary they toured the East Coast of the ?Good Old USA?. Andy will always be remembered saying ?life came at me with a rush and I?ve enjoyed every minute of it?. He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Ardella; two sons: Thomas Warren, Michael George; four grandchildren: Amy Caruthers, Sara Andert, Evan Andert, Kylie Andert; two great grandchildren: T. Hayden & Brooke Caruthers; several other family and friends whom he cherished. ?Life has been wonderful ? I can?t imagine what the next one will be like. I hope to see you there? This was his last comment and wish for you. Memorial service will be held on Friday, October 25, 2013, 11:00 a.m. at St. John?s Lutheran Church in Villard. Burial will be at St. John?s Cemetery. Military Honors are by American Legion Post #175. Arrangements are with the Anderson Funeral Home. www.andersonfuneral.net
