Angeline Blake

Angeline “Angie” Kathaleen Blake was born on September 20, 1941, the daughter of Berthold and Alvina Blake in Folden Township, Ottertail County. She attended grades 1-8 in the Almora School District. At the age of 17 she started working as a housekeeper.
In 1963, she moved to Minneapolis and was employed with different families as a housekeeper and a nanny. She worked in Bloomington, St. Louis Park and Edina, MN. Angie moved back to Alexandria in 1990 and was employed at Heartland and later worked at Knute Nelson in the kitchen.
Angie loved listening to county music and enjoyed visiting with family and friends, especially her nieces and nephews.
Angie died on Sunday, August 20, 2017, at Bethany Home in Alexandria at the age of 75. She is survived by her one sister, Doralean Mosher of Alexandria; and nieces and nephews. Angie is preceded in death by her parents, 5 sisters, Viola Wark, Evelyn Blake, Merion Blake, Opohl Wark, and Marjorie Hendershot; and 3 brothers, Bert, Donald and Verlin Blake.
A Funeral Service will be held 1:00 PM on Friday, August 25, 2017, at Zion Lutheran Church in Alexandria. Visitation will be held for one hour prior to the service at the church on Friday. Interment was held at Oak Ridge Cemetery in Almora, MN.
