Angeline Susanna Zimmel was born on May 15, 1925 in Spruce Hill Township, Douglas County, Minnesota to Alexander and Stefanie (Sommerauer) Zimmel. She attended country school at District 92 thru the eighth grade. Angie worked on the family farm her whole life, working along side her parents and her brothers. After her parents and brother, Ernest?s death, Angie and her brother, Ray ran the farm until Ray?s death in 2000. She loved doing farm work while raising chickens and milking cows. Angie loved nature and being outdoors, she liked taking walks around the farm with her dog and playing with her cats. She also enjoyed gardening and sewing. Angie also loved to visit with her family and friends and made sure that coffee was on. Angeline died on April 15, 2008 at the Community Memorial Home in Osakis at the age of 82. She is survived by her sister, Amelia Rutten. Angie is preceded in death by her parents, Alexander and Stefanie Zimmel; and brothers, Ernest and Raymond. A Mass of Christian Burial was held on Thursday, April 17, 2008 at the St. Nicholas Catholic Church in Belle River with Reverend Leroy Scheirel officiating and organist, Joel Walsh, provided music. Interment was held in the St. Nicholas Catholic Cemetery. Casket Bearers were Brad Lusty, Delton Melzer, Steve Trisco, Bruce Forster, Art Pomerenke, and Richard Schlosser.
