Ardelle Muzik

Ardelle Margaret Muzik age 76 of Alexandria, died on Wednesday, July 27, 2016. A funeral service will take place on Thursday, August 4, 2016 at 2:00 PM at Calvary Lutheran Church in Alexandria, MN. A visitation will take place on Wednesday, August 3, 2016 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Anderson Funeral Home in Alexandria and also one hour prior to the funeral service at the church on Thursday. Ardelle Margaret (Nelson) Muzik was born on January 17, 1940 in Holmes City, Minnesota, one of four children to Arthur and Betsy "Caroline" (Gustafson) Nelson. Ardelle attended elementary and junior high school in Holmes City. On April 4, 1956, Ardelle was united in marriage to Thomas Muzik of Alexandria. The couple lived in California, while Tom was in the Navy, upon discharge they moved back to Alexandria. Ardelle and Tom had eight children, Mike, Greg, LuWanna, Julie, Tommy, Randy, Ryan and Rony. The couple moved back home to Alexandria. Ardelle worked for many years at the Viking Motel, Knute Nelson Nursing Home and Alternative Senior Care. After retirement, Ardelle started volunteering at Bethany Home with their chapel services. Ardelle was also a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars organization in Alexandria.

Ardelle loved her children and grandchildren. She was the mom that always provided for her family, whether it was making their favorite meal or attending their different activities. When someone was in need of something, she never said no, she found a way to make it happen. There was always "made from scratch" breads, brownies and rolls in the house. She loved her pets, especially her dogs. Ardelle was a number one race fan to her kids and grandkids. She loved racing just as much as they did and could often be found in the stands cheering on her family. She was so proud of her children and grandchildren's accomplishments, she beamed.
Ardelle was a loveable, fun loving, helpful giving person, whom touched many people's lives and hearts in her seventy six years of life.

Ardelle went to heaven and joined her "Tommys", on Wednesday, July 27, 2016. She is preceded in death by her husband, Tom; son, Tommy Muzik; parents, Arthur and Betsy "Caroline" Nelson; son-in-law, James Olson; brother, Roger Nelson; sister-in-laws, Shirley Nelson, Barb Nelson and Marlys Nelson. She is survived by her children, Mike (Putt) Muzik, Greg (Kim) Muzik, LuWanna Olson, Julie (Dan) Haak, Randy Muzik, Ryan (Marie) Muzik, Rony (Christine) Muzik; fifty-one grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
