Ardine Elda Zimmer

Ardine Zimmer of Alexandria, formerly of Parkers Prairie, passed away on Monday, September 9, 2024 at Windmill Ponds in Alexandria. She was born on May 16, 1931, the daughter of Fred and Mathilda (Diedrich) Schmidt in Leaf Valley Township. She was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran Faith.

Ardine was married to Virgil Zimmer on September 22, 1950. They farmed for many years in Woodside Township. She was active in her church, quilting and ladies aide. 

She is preceded in death by her husband, Virgil; parents, brother & sister-in-law, Albert & Val Schmidt, brother, Delroy Schmidt, sisters and brothers-in-law: Edna & Darold Skerik, Hertha & Wayne Bowman, Erna & Gilmer Freudenberg, Leona Schulz. 

Ardine is survived by her brothers: Marvin & Sandy Schmidt of Waterloo, Iowa, Delmer & Evie Schmidt of Montevideo, MN; sister-in-law, Trudi Schmidt of Great Falls, MT; brother-in-law Magnus Schulz of Green Valley, AZ of along with numerous nieces & nephews.

Visitation will be held on Friday, September 13, 2024, 1:00 – 2:00 PM at the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Parkers Prairie with a Funeral Service at 2:00 PM. Burial will be at the Parkers Prairie Cemetery.
