Ardys Eye

Ardys Eye, 86, passed away on June 11, 2022, at Barrett Care Center. She was the widow of Orvin Eye. They shared 12 years of marriage together and four children.

She was born to Christopher (Christ) and Lois (Gould) Pederson at the family farm (due to a blizzard) on January 9, 1936. She was baptized and confirmed at Silo Lutheran Church, a church established by her grandfather, John Pederson.

After her graduation from Cottonwood High School, Ardys moved to Minneapolis and worked for Prudential Insurance. She met Orvin at a dance and they were married August 26, 1956. The next year they started their family and moved to Shoreview.

Orvin and their son, Burton passed after a car accident on August 9, 1968, that involved the entire family. She moved her family to Alexandria in 1971.

Ardys was a member of Calvary Lutheran Church. She enjoyed reading, crocheting, Hallmark movies, musicals, Nascar and lutefisk.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Orvin and son Burton; her parents, brothers John Pederson and wife Mary Jane and Lowell (Bud) Pederson and wife Alnora; brother in-law John Rewerts; her husband’s brothers and sisters, most recently Bennie Eye and his wife Eleanor; and her long-time companion, Larry Kluver.

She is survived by her daughters June Eye of Alexandria; Betty Norregaard and husband Nathan of Plainview; Julie Allguire of Alexandria. Grandchildren Eliza, Nathaniel, Ian, Kendal and James Norregaard and Christopher and Anthony Allguire, seven great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild, her sister, Margaret Rewerts and many nephews and nieces.

A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, June 16, 2022, at 11 AM at Calvary Lutheran Church in Alexandria, MN.

A visitation will take place one hour prior to the funeral service Thursday at the church.
