Audrey Belle Hoefer, born on May 15, 1928, in Muskegon, Michigan, passed away on October 29, 2024, at the age of 96. Audrey, the daughter of Robert and Olga (Lund) Feda, moved to Alexandria, Minnesota, where she graduated from Central High School in 1947. She was united in marriage to Wallace Hoefer on June 17, 1951, in a ceremony at the First Baptist Church in Alexandria, MN. Three sons, David, Bruce, and Craig, were born to this union. Her early years of marriage, they resided on a farm near Osakis, MN. Wally’s job transfers took them to Montana, Oregon, California, Texas and Missouri. In 2000, they retired to Alexandria, Minnesota. After high school, Audrey worked at the Garden Center as a waitress. Audrey was a homemaker, wife, and mother who, delighted guests with her delicious meals and baked goods. She loved to entertain and made sure everyone was welcomed, whenever they visited.
Audrey will be remembered by her sons, Bruce (Connie) and Craig (Tracy) Hoefer, as well as her grandchildren Benjamin Hoefer and Heidi (Amos) Klein, four great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Audrey was preceded in death by her parents, husband Wallace Hoefer, son David Hoefer, sister LouVerne Samons, brothers Marvin Feda and Kenneth Feda.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Knute Nelson Care Center Activity Fund.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, November 1, 2024, at 2 PM at Knute Nelson Care Center by Vivie, (420 12th Ave East) in Alexandria.
Visitation will take place one hour prior to the service at Knute Nelson.
Interment will be in Kinkead Cemetery.
