KLOEHN, AUDREY FAYE (Tanquist) passed from this life early evening on May 15th at the Age 91. She was a lifelong resident of the Alexandria area, living in Brandon, on a farm outside of Garfield and in Alexandria. She attended the University of Minnesota, was one of the first females to play in the marching band and graduated with a degree in nursing. She worked for her father and brother as a nurse in their MD practice. Audrey was a 66 year member of PEO, a member of the Historical Society and worked for years as a hospice nurse. Being a hospice nurse speaks to who Audrey was, a kind loving person that was willing to listen and lend a helping hand at any time. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Audrey is preceded in death by parents Dr. Edwin and Olive Tanquist; sister, Joyce Dunnum and husband, Robert Kloehn. Survived by her brother Dr. Edwin Tanquist Jr., three children, Robert Kloehn, Royce Kloehn and Carmen Rossi; seven grandchildren – Delacy, Laura, Aliecia, Andreya, Robert, Sarah and Michelle; and three great grandchildren – Ruby, Zoe and Noah.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, May 20th from 2:00 – 4:00 PM at the Anderson Funeral Home and one hour prior to the service at the church on Monday. Funeral service will be held on Monday, May 21, 2018, 11:00 a.m. at First Lutheran Church in Alexandria. Burial will be at Kinkead Cemetery.
