Obituary Barbara Jean (Barglof) Bjornebo was born on October 26, 1955 in Tracy, MN the daughter of John and Beverly (McClain) Barglof. She graduated from Marshall High School in the class of 1974 and soon met Mark Bjornebo. After dating for about a year they were united in marriage on April 26, 1975 in Cottonwood, MN. Three children were born to this union Jeremy, Justin, and Jennifer. Barb started working for Schwans Sales in Marshall, MN in July of 1975 until her retirement due to her illness in August of 2008. She worked in a number of departments in her career ending as a supervisor in Technical Support. While working at Schwans she received two prestigious Presidential Awards from the company for her ideas that substantially benefited the company. Barb was a great cook and loved to bake. She expressed her love for her family in many ways especially through her cooking. She made favorite meals for birthdays and holidays always having Oyster Stew for Christmas Eve. She organized family gatherings and did all the cooking. She also was very energetic, full of life, and adored her grandchildren. Barb enjoyed long walks and watching the birds by the lake. She liked to shop and travel with mother around the country. She was a loving wife, and best friend to her husband Mark. She was also a loving and caring mother to her children. She will be missed by those who knew and loved her. Barbara J. Bjornebo died on Tuesday, February 17, 2009 at the Douglas County Hospital in Alexandria at the age of 53 years. She is survived by her husband of 33 years Mark Bjornebo of Cottonwood, MN; sons Jeremy and Erica Bjornebo of Morris, MN; Justin Bjornebo of Cottonwood, MN; daughter Jennifer and David Sorum of Sioux Falls, SD; mother Beverly Tweedt of Osakis, MN; eight grandchildren Kylee, Chase, Brady, Damon, Jayden, Yasmine, Matthew, and Persia; father-in-law Leif and wife Nellie Bjornebo of Cottonwood, MN; and special pet Penny. She was preceded in death by her mother-in-law Rose Bjornebo, step father Dennis Tweedt, and her grandparents. A Memorial Sservice will be held on Saturday, February 21, 2009 at 10:30 AM at the Anderson Funeral Home Chapel in Alexandria with the Reverend Rick Martin officiating. Visitation will be held for one hour prior to the service at the Anderson Funeral Home Chapel. Inurnment will be later in the spring at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Osakis, MN. Arrangements are with the Anderson Funeral Home in Alexandria.
