Benjamin Frank Mrnak was born in Leven Township, Pope County, on February 18, 1918 to Wencil and Mary (Hiebel) Mrnak. Ben married Grace Reichmann on October 8, 1940. Ben farmed in Leven Township until retiring in 1995. He married Lorraine Drahos on July 21, 1995. He and Lorraine moved to Alexandria in 1997. Ben is survived by his wife Lorraine; children: Dorothy (Harlan) Munsen of North Mankato, Roger (Diane) Mrnak of Glenwood and Gerald (Linda) Mrnak of Delano; nine grandchildren: Darlene, Nathan, Angela, Jason, Jennifer, Chris, Tony, Randy and Brandon; twenty-one great-grandchildren; son-in-law Mike McKinley of Minneapolis; sister Mary Pehan of Glenwood; many nieces and nephews, other relatives and countless friends. Ben enjoyed fishing, playing cards, reading, road farming, traveling and visiting with friends and family. Ben is preceded in death by his wife Grace (1973), daughter Nancy McKinley (2005), his parents, brother Charles and sister Helen Pronek.
