Cecelia Anna Trousil was born December 31, 1917 in Lake Mary Township, the daughter of Joseph and Lillian (Benesh) Trousil. She was raised in Lake Mary Township where she attended school at District 14. Cecelia continued her education at Drews Business College in St. Cloud where she learned accounting. Cecelia began working for a local bank in Alexandria as a bookkeeper. Later she became a bookkeeper at Our Lady of Mercy Hospital. She continued on at Douglas County Hospital after the two hospitals merged. In 1983 Cecelia retired from Douglas County Hospital. Cecelia spent her time caring for her mother until Lillian?s death in 1986. Cecelia enjoyed gardening flowers and vegetables. She processed and canned all of her own produce. Cecelia was skilled at sewing. She sewed many of her own garments. She also supported church missions with her sewing and also made rosaries for the missions. Her church life was important to her. Cecelia was active at St. Mary?s where she was a member of the Daughters of Isabella and served as the secretary and treasurer of her mission circle. She also volunteered for many years at the Knute Nelson Memorial home beauty parlor. Cecelia was an excellent cook and baker. Her family loved what she cooked, especially her sloppy joes, rosettes and kolaches. She loved playing cards, doing word search and crossword puzzles and also jigsaw puzzles. Cecelia?s family was very important to her. She always looked forward to attending family events, gatherings and birthday parties. On Saturday, August 17, 2013 Cecelia died at the age of ninety-five years. She was preceded in death by her brother, John Trousil; niece, Marie Trousil; and grandniece, Ashley Klimek. Cecelia in survived by her sister-in-law, Magdalene Trousil of Alexandria; nieces, Margaret Jones and husband, David, of Alexandria and Mary Lou Klimek and husband, Glen, of Alexandria; grand nephews, Erik Jones and wife, Amanda, Tom Jones and wife, Rachel, Brian Jones and wife, Kali, John Klimek and wife, Mary, Jason Klimek and wife, Aleisha, Chris Klimek, Frank Klimek and wife, Lindsey, and Austin Klimek; grand nieces, Angela Hennen and husband, Eric, Rose Athey, Michelle Klimek and Melissa Maurer-Jones and husband, Jonathan; and twenty great grand nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 2 PM Tuesday, August 27, 2013 at the Church of St. Mary in Alexandria. Reverend Father Steve Binsfeld will be the celebrant. Interment will follow in St. John Nepomuk Cemetery in Reno Township. Casket bearers include Erik Jones, Tom Jones, Brian Jones, John Klimek, Jason Klimek, Chris Klimek, Frank Klimek and Austin Klimek. Honorary casket bearers included Angela Hennen, Rose Athey, Michelle Klimek and Melissa Maurer-Jones. Visitation will be from 12:30 to 2 PM Tuesday at the church with a Daughters of Isabella Rosary at 12:30 PM. Arrangements are with the Anderson Funeral; Home.
