Charlotte ?Char? Anne (Cederberg) Ostroviak was born on June 17, 1938 in Minneapolis, MN to Lambert and Arlene (Robinson) Cederberg. She graduated from Patrick Henry High School in Minneapolis. Char went to work at Control Data in Minneapolis. Char was united in marriage to Walter ?Mugs? Bloch. The couple lived in Blaine and Char continued to work at Control Data until she became a homemaker when the couple was blessed with son, Chris and daughter, Terri. Later she married Ralph ?Nip? Bloch Jr. The couple lived in Crystal and was blessed with son, Todd and daughter, Tammy. Many years later Char married Phil Ostroviak and they lived in New Hope. Char went to work for her parents at their tailor shop for a time after the death of her son, Chris at age 14. She later opened her own daycare that she did for a few years while Todd and Tammy were young. Once they were in school, she went to work as a housekeeper at North Memorial Hospital and later North Ridge Care Center from where she retired in 2009. Char moved to Big Lake in 2011 to live with her daughter, Tammy. Char?s most memorable event, besides the birth of her children, was her trip of a lifetime with her niece, Holly when they went to visit Char?s sister, Sharon in 1981. Sharon was living in Germany at the time and Char was in awe when they visited the Swiss Alps. Char loved her Minnesota Vikings, enjoyed cross-stitching (and did a piece for every family member), going to the casino and playing games. Most importantly she loved being with her family and keeping everyone together. Char died on Sunday, December 1, 2013 at the St. Cloud Hospital at the age of 75. She is survived by her children, Terri Lee of Alexandria, Todd (fianc, Tanya Frederick) Bloch of Robbinsdale, Tammy (Ryan) Bergstrom of Big Lake and Kelly (Nick) Poshek of Isanti; grandchildren, Jamie and Chris Lee, Joe Bloch, Riley, Zach and Avery Bergstrom, Jayce and Kailey Poshek and Paige Mackedanz; several brothers and sisters in laws; and many nieces and nephews.
