Cheryl Koepp, age 59, of Alexandria, died Sunday, September 6, 2015. A celebration of Cheryl’s life will be held from 2 to 5 PM Saturday, September 12, 2015 at the Holiday Inn at 5637 Hwy 29 S, Alexandria, MN.
OBITUARY
Cheryl Koepp left this earthly life on September 6, 2015 at the age of fifty-nine at CentraCare Hospital in St. Cloud, MN surrounded by her family.
Cheryl was born on March 19, 1956 to Iris and Everett Barta in Oakes, ND. She grew up in Crete, ND and at the age of ten moved to Gwinner, ND where she graduated from high school. She was united in marriage to David Koepp on May 28, 1977 and they made their home in Alexandria, MN. Cheryl had several occupations including owning a furniture restoration business with her husband, but the job she truly loved was being a caregiver at Runewood which she did for the last twelve years of her life.
Cheryl truly had a zest for life and a gift for making everyone feel like a part of her family. Cheryl loved her family and friends more than life itself. She also loved working a good crossword puzzle, studying the American Civil War era and traveling with her family. Her beautiful, bright smile and whole-hearted laughter will be greatly missed by everyone who had the pleasure of meeting her.
Cheryl is survived by her husband, David Koepp of Alexandria; her mother, Iris “Honey” Barta of Alexandria; her sister, Stacey Nice of Fargo, ND; niece, Natalia Nice of Minneapolis, MN; sister-in-law, Carol (Robert) Jensen of Dallas, TX and their children, Michael (Sharla) Jensen, Kristin (Shawn) Watts and Greg Jensen; brothers-in-law, Gordon (Donna) Koepp of Clarkfield, MN and their children, Kimberly (Chad) Hahn, Jennifer (Jamie) Lee, Bruce (Crystal) Koepp and Brian (Mary) Koepp; brother-in-law, Brad (Kim) Koepp of Boyd, MN and their daughter, Lindsey Koepp; along with many great nieces and nephews.
Cheryl was preceded in death by her father, Everett; her father and mother-in-law, Herbert and Flora Koepp; and nephew, Derek.
A celebration of Cheryl’s life will be held from 2 to 5 PM Saturday, September 12, 2015 at the Holiday Inn at 5637 Hwy 29 S, Alexandria, MN.
