Cheryl Ossenfort

Cheryl Rae Ossenfort, age 74, of Alexandria, MN, formerly of Pipestone passed away on Sunday, July 10, 2022.  Cheryl spent the last weeks of her life receiving compassionate end of life care for Dementia with Autumn Cottages in Alexandria.

Cheryl was born on September 22, 1947 to Eldon and Mildred (Tracy) Anderson in Worthington MN. Shortly after her birth, she moved with her family to Pipestone, MN and graduated from Pipestone High School in 1965. Cheryl was united in marriage to Larry Ossenfort in 1968 together they made their home in Pipestone. They shared 14 years of marriage and were blessed with three children Mark, Kristine and Nathan.

Cheryl raised her children and lived most of her life in Pipestone area. She enjoyed reading, writing letters and her beloved pets. She was an avid animal lover and was always ready to take in a stray dog or cat who may have arrived at the door. Cheryl enjoyed attending local churches, being involved with Bible studies, and sharing her faith with others.

Cheryl was preceded in death by her Parents, Eldon & Mildred Anderson; Sister, Marilyn Anderson; and Brothers, Richard Anderson and Gary Anderson.

Cheryl is survived by her children Mark (Mari) Ossenfort of Sioux Falls, SD; Kristine Nathe of Alexandria, MN; Nathan (Lesli) Ossenfort of Bentonville, AR; and her grandsons Matthew Ossenfort, Michael Ossenfort and Zachary Ossenfort. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Our special thanks to Autumn Cottages and the Hospice staff for the compassionate and caring service they provided to us all during this difficult time.  A graveside service will be held on Thursday, July 14, 2022, 1:00 PM at the Worthington Cemetery in Worthington, MN.
