Growing up in Park Ridge, Illinois, Christine graduated from Park Ridge High School and was steadfast in her faith; she was baptized in the Catholic Church in Chicago in 1953 and confirmed in 1967. Chris carried her values and kindness throughout her life, touching the hearts of all who knew her.

A devoted wife, Chris shared a deep bond with her beloved husband Glenn Bergs. She was a proud and supportive mother to her daughter Jamie and took immense joy in being a grandmother to her granddaughters, Charlie and Ryan. The time spent with them was a treasured part of her life, filled with laughter, learning, and love.

Christine was known for her vibrant personality and infectious laugh. She was an incredibly caring individual, always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. Her hobbies included a keen interest in fashion and crafts, as well as needlepoint. An enthusiast of outdoor activities, she enjoyed spending time in the sun, swimming, water skiing, fishing, and ice fishing. In addition to these pursuits, she loved cooking and baking, she was especially known for her delicious croissants.

Chris dedicated over two decades of her professional life as a secretary for Morton Buildings in Alexandria, where she worked from 1990 until her retirement in 2012. Her commitment and work ethic were admired by colleagues and friends alike.

Chris had a passion for travel, enjoying memorable trips with Glenn to destinations such as Maui, California, and Florida. Throughout her life, she maintained an adventurous spirit, managing to do headstands just five years ago, showcasing her enduring vitality.

Christine's warmth and generosity will be forever remembered by all who had the pleasure of knowing her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Leonard and Geraldine Naleway, and son Jason Freeman.

She leaves behind her beloved husband Glenn, daughter Jamie (Brian) Carlson, granddaughters Charlie and Ryan, along with other relatives and friends who will cherish her memory.

A Visitation will be held on November 14, 2024, from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Anderson Funeral Home and Crematory, located at 659 Voyager Drive NW, Alexandria, MN 56308. As we celebrate the life of Christine Ann Bergs, let us honor her compassionate spirit and the lives she touched.
