Clifford Fredrickson

Clifford James Byron Fredrickson, 89 Cliff passed away at Camilia Rose Nursing home on Saturday, October 2, 2010 after three years of illness. He is survived by his wife Martha, his daughter Lola, and his son-in-law Bill McConaughead. He was preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Ellen Fredrickson and his sister, Erma Sitki, and his first wife, Ardythe. Clifford was born in Douglas County, MN in 1921. He spent the early years of his life in Farwell, MN and lived in the Twin Cities since the 1950s. He was an iron worker and machinist for most of his life. He loved to tell the history of Moe County, travel, fish, hunt and appreciate nature. He spent much of his time teaching others the skills and crafts he learned during his life and he was very devoted to his friends and family. Services will be held at 2 PM Friday, October 8, 2010 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Holmes City, MN. Reverend Denise Croskey and Reverend Giles Ekola will officiate. Interment will follow in the Finnish Apostolic Church cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 PM Thursday at Anderson Funeral Home in Alexandria, M and also one hour prior to the service at church. Pallbearers are Carl Pipo, Gabe Pipo, Ed Chatras, Bob Dupre, Bill Jarvi and James Anderson. Honorary pallbearers are Lloyd Flaaten, Bob Nelson, Gene Anderson and Greg Olson. Memorials to the Finnish Apostolic Cemetery Fund or your choice. Arrangements are with the Anderson Funeral Home.
