Clifford Giese

Clifford Julius Giese was born April 17, 1919 on a farm south of New Salem, ND, the third of four boys.
He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church of Bismarck, ND for 67 years.
He owned and operated the Bismarck Credit Bureau for 30 years.
He was president of both the Bismarck Lions and the Capital Lions Clubs, was president of the Trinity church council, a member of the Burleigh County Commission, a 50-year member of the Elks, and an avid golfer and traveler.
One June 20, 1943, he was married to Verna (Peggy) Huether. They have two children: Mark Giese and Kathy (Larry) Ortloff. Grandchildren are Amy (Ross) Franken, Michael Giese, Jason Giese, Matthew Giese, Jennifer (Matthew) Philaya, Paul Ortloff, Emily (Darryn) McGarvey, 9 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Cliff passed away at Grand Arbor, where they have lived the past 5 years, on Monday, April 24, 2017, at the age of 98. He was preceded in death by his parents and 3 brothers.
Funeral service will be held on Thursday, April 27, 2017, 11:00 a.m. at Grand Arbor in Alexandria. Arrangements are with the Anderson Funeral Home.
