Clifford William Krohnfeldt was born March 14, 1931 in Ida Township, MN, the son of Julius and Hermina (Froemming) Krohnfeldt. He was born and raised on the family farm that his grandfather homesteaded. He attended country school through the eighth grade. Following his schooling, Clifford continued working the home farm. Clifford served his country in the United States Army in the early 1950?s. Following his discharge, he returned to the home farm. Clifford was united in marriage on May 20, 1956 to Yvonne Diedrich at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Parkers Prairie, MN. The couple was blessed with seven children. Clifford never retired from farming. He remained on the home farm, working it for the rest of his life. Despite the hard work, Clifford thoroughly enjoyed farming, loved tending the livestock, and at one point was milking over sixty cows. Even after his daughter Connie took over the farm, he continued doing field work and driving the tractors. In short, farming was his life, and he lived it to the fullest. Clifford also had joys outside of farming, and brought joy and laughter to those around him. When he was younger, he had fun spearing fish together with friends and family. He especially enjoyed deer hunting, and looked forward to hunting season in his later years. Clifford also enjoyed his dogs. He owned several over the years, and they were always German Shepherds. Clifford also loved kids and having his grandkids around the farm. He also loved to dance, play pool, spend time with family and friends, and always had a good time having coffee with his coffee-group in Brandon. He brought much joy and laughter to those around him with his quick-witted sense of humor, and he enriched the lives of many with his wisdom. For many years, Clifford drove the tractor for the annual hayride, which was always entertaining and a delight to many family and good friends of the family. He will be deeply missed at the 22nd annual hayride. Clifford was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith at Ebenezer Lutheran Church. He remained a member of Ebenezer Lutheran throughout his life. On Tuesday, May 20, 2014 Clifford died at the age of eighty-three years. He was preceded in death by the mother of his children, Yvonne Krohnfeldt; son-in-law, Steven ?Reno?
