Conner Eugene Anderson was born April 25, 1944 in Alexandria, MN, the son of Eugene and Gertrude (Tabbert) Anderson. He grew up in Alexandria where he attended school. Following his graduation from Jefferson High School, Conner continued his education at Bemidji where he received a degree in education.
Conner taught school for one year before moving to Alaska to work on the Alaskan Pipeline. He was drafted into the US Army and served as an administrative specialist in Viet Nam. After two years of service Conner was discharged and returned to Minnesota. He took a job teaching in Little Falls, MN where he spent the rest of his career. Conner taught industrial tech, special education and vocational trades.
Conner was a very active member of the Little Falls Lions Club. He served as the gaming manager for many years and helped steer gaming proceeds to provide computers for students. He was also a member of the Sherriff’s Posse. As a horse person, he provided the use of his horse and mules to the Posse for search and rescue and for parade events.
Conner loved to try new things and was always working on some new project. He especially enjoyed flea markets and antique collecting. Among the various things he enjoyed collecting were any sort of aluminum items.
Conner loved the outdoors. He enjoyed fishing and hunting for deer and duck. He liked to birdwatch, go hunting for mushrooms, camping and four-wheeling.
On Sunday, April 22, 2018 Conner died at the age of seventy-three years. He was preceded in death by his parents. Connor is survived by his sister, Jane Priddy and husband, Wayne, of Mahtomedi, MN; his nieces and nephew; and many good friends.
A funeral service will be held 2 PM, Monday, April 30, 2018 at Anderson Funeral Home in Alexandria. Interment will follow in the Kinkead Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1 to 2 PM Monday at the Anderson Funeral Home in Alexandria. www.andersonfuneral.net
