Connie Mae Morse was born in the Benson, Minnesota area on October 12, 1927, the daughter of Rudolph and Sadie (Hermann) Wiese. She moved with her family to Alexandria where she graduated from high school. In 1947 Connie was united in marriage to Ray C. Morse and the couple settled in Alexandria. They moved to California in 1955 where Ray worked as a meat cutter and Connie was a homemaker to their three children. In 1969 the family returned to Alexandria. While in Alexandria Connie worked at the north Dairy Queen, Tastee Freeze, and for over 25 years at Pete?s County Market where she was employed in the bakery. For the last three years she worked part-time at Elden?s Food Fair as a food demonstration hostess. Some of the many things Connie will be remembered for are her infectious smile and great sense of humor. Connie passed away peacefully in her home, at the age of 84 years, on February 14, 2012 with her daughters by her side. She is survived by her daughters Linda (Dick) Trandahl of St. Paul and Cindy (Tim) Grabow of Brandon; grandchildren Melissa (Dan) Nelson, Pamela (Justin Dohlmman) Trandahl, Amy (Bob) Lipski, Jeff (BobbiJo) Grabow, Eric Morse, Craig Morse, Jared Grabow (Lori Miller) and Karl (Kate) Grabow. Also surviving are great-grandchildren Josie, Olivia, Wyatt, Ryan, Sophie, Dalton, Jordan, Logan, Knox, Kora, Evelyn and Oliver and a daughter-in-law Jan Morse. Connie was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son Richard, and sister Julie. Funeral services were held on Saturday, February 18, 2012, from the Calvary Lutheran Church in Alexandria, Minnesota, with Rev. Rollen Halvorson officiating. Music was provided by Becky Worley and Dan Olson. Interment was in the Kinkead Cemetery, in Alexandria, Minnesota, with Jeff Grabow, Eric Morse, Craig Morse, Dan Nelson, Bob Lipski and Ryan Franzwa serving as pallbearers.
