Craig Thoennes

Craig Allen Thoennes was born on January 20, 1978, in Parkers Prairie to Charles and Kim (Johnson) Thoennes.  His was raised in Urbank with his sister, Alicia.  Growing up Craig loved playing with his toy farm machinery which he passed down to his nieces today.

Craig graduated from Brandon High School in 1996.  He loved going snowmobiling racing with his good friend, Brent Bitzan after high school.

He always wanted to be a farmer.  His Grandpa, Alphonse and his dad taught him everything they knew about cows and field work.  He loved the farm.  Now Craig and Grandpa, Alphonse can farm from Heaven.

Craig died on Saturday, June 15, 2019.  He is survived by his parents: Charles & Kim; sister, Alicia and fiancé, Roger; niece: Payton and boyfriend, Damion, niece, Faith; grandma, Agatha and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

He was preceded in death by his grandpa, Wayne Johnson, grandma, Sandy Johnson; aunt, Kathy Ackerman; grandpa, Alphonse Thoennes; aunt, Sylvia Thoennes.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 20, 2019, 4:00 – 8:00 PM at the Anderson Funeral Home.  Funeral service will be held on Friday, June 21, 2019, 11:00 a.m. at Calvary Lutheran Church in Alexandria with visitation one hour prior to the service at church.  Burial will be at St. Mary’s Cemetery.  Arrangements are with the Anderson Funeral Home. www.andersonfuneral.net
