Daniel Lagergren

Daniel ?Butch? was born on July 19, 1942, at the St. Cloud Hospital, the son of Clarence & Regina (Bujarski) Lagergren. The family lived in the Sauk Rapids area and Dan graduated from Sauk Rapids High School in 1960. Butch worked for Minnegasco as a Backhoe Operator all his life and because of his job he got to know people throughout Minnesota. He retired from Minnegasco in 2007. Dan enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, hunting, and fishing. You were always greeted with a warm welcome and smile. Alexandria lost one of the funniest guys. ?Butch? died on Sunday, October 19, 2008. He is survived by his wife, Jeanette "Babe" Koubsky of Alexandria; step-sons, Michael (Debra) Carter of Alexandria, Steve (Amy) Carter of Maui, HI; step daughters: Jennifer Carter of Plains, MT, Barbara (Todd) Hiehle of Big Lake, MN; six step grandchildren: Dayton, Devin, Madison, Carter, Benjamin, Elizabeth; brother, Robert; sister, Eleanor (Herb Jr.) Fromelt; brother-in-law, James (Connie) Koubsky, Jeff (Renee) Koubsky both of Alexandria, many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews He was preceded in death by his daughter, Jenna Arlene; parents: Clarence & Regina; sister, Arlene (Lagergren) Kraemer, brother-in-law, Richard Kraemer. Mass of Christian Burial was on Thursday, October 23, 2008, 11:00 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Alexandria with Rev. Steve Binsfeld officiating. Pallbearers were Dustin Koubsky, Darrin Koubsky, Howard Lagergren, Herbie Fromelt III, Troy Koubsky, Shawn Koubsky. Honorary Pallbearers were his grandchildren. Burial will be at St. Mary?s Cemetery in Melrose
