Darlene Wagner

Darlene Rose Wagner, the daughter of Bill and Rose (Zwack) Ritten, was born in Brandon, MN on March 30, 1937.  She was baptized and confirmed from the Our Lady of Seven Dolors in Millerville, MN.  She graduated from Brandon High School and then married Marvin Wagner on November 23, 1955 in Our Lady of Seven Dolors Catholic Church.  Together, Darlene and Marvin raised five children, Ron, Audrey, Rick, Jerry, and Anita.  They lived in the same house for 62 years before Darlene moved into Brandon Assisted Living.

Darlene enjoyed all sorts of crafting like, sewing, crocheting, and basket making.  She also enjoyed traveling, wintering in Arizona, and an occasional trip to the casino.  But most of all, she enjoyed her family.  Darlene loved to cook and visit with family and friends.  She always made a point to have enough food for everyone to enjoy. She will be dearly missed by those who knew and loved her.

Darlene R. Wagner died on Sunday, August 30, 2020 at Brandon Assisted Living at the age of 83 years old.  She is survived by her loving husband of 64 years, Marvin Wagner of Brandon; son, Ron (Penny) Wagner of Brandon; daughter, Audrey (Brian) Klimek of Scandia; grandchildren, Nathan Keller, Melisa Klaphake, Nicholas Klimek, Michael Wagner, Mitchell Klimek, Ryan Wagner, and Megan Holt; great grandchildren, Grace, Lilly, Ethan, Beau, Abigail, Izzy, Jackson, Carter, Brock, Wesley, Peyton, and Eleanor; and daughter-in-law, Diana Wagner of Carlos.

Darlene was preceded in death by her parents, sons Rick Wagner and Jerry Wagner, and her daughter Anita Wagner.

A visitation will take place on Tuesday, September 1, 2020 from 5-7 PM at the Anderson Funeral Home in Alexandria.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, September 2, 2020 at 10:30 AM at St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Brandon, MN.

Interment will be in the St. Ann’s Catholic Cemetery in Brandon, MN.  Casket Bearers were Melisa Klaphake, Nicholas Klimek, Mitch Klimek, Ryan Wagner, and Megan Holt.
