Daryl Wetterling Daryl was born on April 23, 1947 in Kensington, Minnesota, the son of Vernold and Ethel (Buck) Wetterling. He attended and later graduated from Kensington High School in 1965. After high school Daryl entered the United States Army serving his country in Vietnam. After his honorable discharge he became a bartender in Coeur d?Alene, Idaho, moving back to Kensington where he was employed at the Holiday Inn also as a bartender. Daryl died on Thursday, January 3, 2013 at the St. Cloud Hospital. He is survived by his two brothers; Dick (Linda) Wetterling of Kensington and Dan Wetterling of Wheaton; sister Phyllis Fleischfresser of Alexandria; and several nieces and nephews. Daryl was preceded in death by his parents, sister-in-law Connie Wetterling and brother-in-law Eldred Fleischfresser. A memorial service is scheduled for Tuesday January 8, 2013 at 1PM from the First Lutheran Church, in Kensington, with the Rev. Kathryn Rothman, officiating. Tricia Salsbury provided the music. Honorary urnbearers are Daryl?s nieces and nephews. The Kensington Legion Post #268 performed the military honors.
