David Kenneth Holm was born on April 27, 1954, in Minneapolis, MN, the son of Kenneth and Muriel (Erickson) Holm. After high school, David worked with his father for a short time and then began his career as a truck driver. David drove freight all over the U.S. and later transported milk around Minnesota.
David was a man who said it like he saw it; one of his sayings was "There is nothing better than driving down the road, listening to Lynyrd Skynyrd". David had a good sense of humor and great one-liners with a little sarcasm thrown in. He loved driving his Harley and made many trips to Sturgis and to Daytona Beach. He also loved the deer camp experience that goes along with hunting deer and fishing around Alexandria or in Canada. A perfect day for David was driving his Harley to Indian Lake, fishing all day, and then sitting by a campfire with family and friends laughing and solving the world's problems.
David K. Holm died on Tuesday, July 26, 2016, at Knute Nelson in Alexandria at the age of 62 years old.
