b. February 5, 1954

David Lee Pedersen was born February 5, 1954 in Tacoma, WA. He loved to go to Sunday School as a young boy. At the age of 13 he accepted Jesus into his life and was baptized at the age of 14 in Puyallup, WA by Pastor Lloyd Nordstrom. David was raised and schooled in Tacoma where he graduated from Lincoln High School. Following high school he attended Tacoma Technical School where he learned to be an electrician. David worked in the Tacoma area for seven years. Following a serious accident David became disabled and was no longer able to work. In the mid 1990?s David moved to Eatonville, WA. David moved to Alexandria, MN in 2002 due to poor health conditions and to be closer to his parents and other family members. In his younger years David was active in Boy Scouts. He also enjoyed working with computers. David was an avid sports fan, as he loved to play basketball and watch baseball and football on TV, especially the Twins and Mariners and continued to cheer for the Seattle Seahawks well after moving to Minnesota. David loved to be out in the woods with nature and wildlife with his favorite spot being Mt. Rainier. He had two special German shepherd show dogs, Abby and Nader. On Wednesday, August 19, 2008 David died at the age of fifty-five years. David is survived by his two sons, Dustin Pedersen of Tacoma and Jason Pedersen of Eatonville; one daughter, Rebecca Pedersen of Eatonville; parents, Russell and Nancy Pedersen of Alexandria; two brothers, Allen (Wendy) Pedersen of Mayer, MN and Bruce (Sara) Pedersen of Alexandria; two sisters, Pamela (Dan) Botker, of Alexandria and Lynn (Brad) Pierce, of Alexandria; and many nieces and nephews. David is preceded in death by his grandparents, Cecil and Ruth Myers; uncle, Robert ?Bob? Myers, and niece, Erin Botker. A funeral service was held on Saturday, August 22, 2009 at the Anderson Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Rol Boyce officiating. Interment was held in the Kinkead Cemetery. Casket bearers were Allen Pedersen, Bruce Pedersen, Dan Botker, Pam Botker, Brad Pierce and Lynn Pierce. Arrangements are with the Anderson Funeral Home in Alexandria.
