David Schierman

David Scott Schierman was born on May 24, 1954, in Minneapolis, Minnesota the son of Donald and Marion (Josephs) Schierman. Dave was baptized and confirmed at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Glen Lake, MN. The family lived in the Hopkins area when he was young and later moved to Eden Prairie. As a teenager Dave and his siblings were instilled with the value of hard work and helped their father with his tree trimming business. He graduated from Minnetonka High School in 1972. Dave worked in sales for a landscaping company throughout his life. He enjoyed spending time with his family. He also had a love for nature and the outdoors. Dave died on Sunday, November 13, 2011 at the family farm. He is survived by his sons: Michael and Patrick of Eden Prairie; daughter Tanya & husband, Andy Gosha of Bloomington; two granddaughters: Nora and Hanna; mother, Marion of St. Louis Park, MN; brothers: Donn of Arlington, MN, Jeff & wife, Patty of Minnetonka, Dan & wife, Mollie of Robbinsdale, Kevin & wife, Kelly of Chanhassen; sister, Christie & husband, Michael Toenies of Henderson, MN; several uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins of the Josephs family. Funeral services were held on Friday, November 18, 2011, 1:00 p.m. at Anderson Funeral Home in Alexandria with Rev. Denise Croskey officiating. Burial was at the Finnish Apostolic Cemetery in Moe Township.
