Nicholas David Schlosser, age 83, died at Knute Nelson Home, on Thursday, May 29, 2014. His friends and family knew him as ?David?. David was born at home on December 14, 1930 to Nicholas and Emma (Feda) Schlosser. He grew up on the family farm in Carlos Township and graduated from Alexandria High School class of 1948. He served in the United States Army for two years with one year in Japan. After the Army he returned to the family farm and this became his lifetime work. He loved farming and he and his brother, Philip became lifetime partners. They had two adjoining farms and worked them as one. He was a lifetime member of St. Nicholas Catholic Church in Belle River where he served on the church board. He is survived by his loving wife, Sharon; who he married on May 31, 1980; two step children: Keith Jacobson of Mukilteo, WA; Laura Jacobson of Bremerton, WA; three step grandchildren: Joshua (Bremerton, WA), Matthew and Paul Jacobson of Mukilteo, WA. He was preceded in death by his parents: Nicholas & Emma; brother, Philip, step-daughter-in-law, Miriam Jacobson. Funeral services were held on Wednesday, June 4, 2014, 11:00 a.m. at St. Nicholas Catholic Church in Belle River with Father David Petron officiating. Casketbearers were Wayne Rediehs, Troy Rediehs, Duane Waldorf, Rich Waldorf, Austin Lehn, Rusty Kincade. Burial was at St. Nicholas Cemetery.
