Delores Peterson

Delores Lerum was born January 14, 1923 in Zap, North Dakota, the daughter of Arthur and Emily (Crieger) Lerum. Delores was united in marriage to Ray Miller and the couple was blessed with six children. Life was hard for Delores and she lost four of her children due to illness. In 1972 Delores was married to Maynard Peterson. They made their home in Elk River and moved to Alexandria, MN in 1989. Delores has lived in Alexandria since 1989 and has been a member of First Lutheran Church for twenty-two years. Delores Peterson of Alexandria died Tuesday, May 4, 2011. Her husband, Maynard Peterson, preceded her in death. Delores is survived by her two sons, Gary Miller of New Brighton, MN and Robert Miller of Minneapolis, MN; one daughter, Sandy Cremers of St. Cloud, MN; two grandchildren; six great grandchildren; and two sisters. A funeral service was held Monday, May 9 at the First Lutheran Church in Alexandria. Reverend Greg Billberg officiated. Karen Gladen and Virginia Hegre provided music. Interment followed In Fort Snelling National Cemetery. Arrangements were with the Anderson Funeral Home.
