Delroy “Buss” Benson 82, Alexandria passed away October 19, 2014. Preceded in death by Parents, Clarence and Harriet Benson of Alexandria. Survived by his wife Donna, children Karen, Jimmy, Linda, Bobby and Danny, his siblings Gladys, David and Doris, and his nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Delroy enjoyed the outdoors, going for walks, watching football, listening to the twins on his radio, gardening, and being with family. Raised in Ben Wade Township, he grew up working as a farm hand. He married Donna Mithun in 1959 and raised a family in the Glenwood and Starbuck areas. He worked for the local school district for over 20 years, and then retired and moved to the Alexandria area where he and Donna attended dances regularly.
Delroy’s life will be celebrated at 2:00 PM, Saturday, October 25, 2014 (his birthday) at the Bethany Chapel in Alexandria. Visitation will be held on Friday, October 24, 2014 at the Anderson Funeral Home from 5-7PM and also for one hour prior to the service at Bethany Chapel on Saturday.
