Denise Vee (Hubred) Fischer was born on November 4, 1960 in Alexandria, MN the daughter of Dennis and Valrie (Freire) (Geris) Hubred. She was raised in the Alexandria area and graduated from Jefferson High School in the class of 78. Denise was married to Ron (Rocket) Fischer on May 26, 1979 for seventeen years. Together they had three children Josh, Nicole, and Jesse. She was a full time mother and also ran a Day Care for many years. She loved her children and took care of every need they had, always taking care of the little things for them. She was a great cook and many times she would bake an awesome cake to lift the spirits of those she loved. She also loved animals and especially dogs. She enjoyed motorcycles and was able to purchase her own Harley a few years ago. Denise enjoyed watching her children race go-karts and also working and watching stock car racing at the Viking Speedway. Denise also collected Barbie Dolls Denise was an independent and creative woman, who knew what she wanted and how to get it. She was a strong woman who fought a battle with cancer for almost a year. Denise would help anyone in need and never expected anything in return. She will be missed by those who knew and loved her. Denise V. Fischer died on Sunday, July 20, 2008 at her home at the age of 47 years. She is survived by her children Josh, Nicole, and Jesse Fischer all of Alexandria; brother Kim Hubred of Rockville, MN; sister Shelly and Mike Storck of Morris, MN; nephews Owen Storck of Morris, MN and Tedd Maxwell of Alexandria; niece Sara Hubred of Rockville, MN; step-parents Robert and Mary Geris of Alexandria; many aunts and uncles. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother Kurt (Hoss) Hubred; aunts and uncles. A Memorial Service was held on Thursday, July 24, 2008 at Zion Lutheran Church with the Reverend David Hinz officiating. Interment was in the Kinkead Cemetery in Alexandria. Arrangements are with the Anderson Funeral Home in Alexandria.
