OBITUARY Dennis Darell (Putsy) Muzik was born on February 28, 1938 in Alexandria, MN, the son of John and Alvina (Johnson) Muzik. Dennis graduated from Central High School and then began to work in construction. He became a crane operator for Schroeder Construction and helped build bridges all over Minnesota for many years. He also worked with Eblen Construction, operating heavy equipment and with Donnelly Manufacturing as a supervisor until his retirement. Dennis married Linda Beard in 1967 and to this union two daughters were born Billie and Shelia. On May 29, 1979, Dennis was united in marriage to Margaret Heuer and together they had one daughter Jackie. They made their home near Forada where Dennis liked to tend to his large vegetable garden. He enjoyed his friendly competition with his neighbor on who had the first tulips and picked the asparagus first. Dennis was an all around outdoorsman. He hunted ducks, deer, and trapped minks and muskrats for their furs. He also made annual hunting trips to Baudette, MN with family and friends. He also loved fishing from the boat or ice. When his grandchildren would visit, a few hours of fishing with them was usually done. While he loved to eat fish and venison, Dennis had a sweet tooth and his favorite candy bar was the Nut Goodie. Dennis was a colorful guy and enjoyed a good prank every once in a while. He liked visiting with his friends at the ?Muddy Boot? in Forada and telling stories. Dennis was a stubborn man with a huge heart who never wanted his children to worry about him. He will be missed by those who knew and loved him. Dennis D. Muzik died on Friday, March 4, 2011 at the Douglas County Hospital at the age of 73 years old. He is survived by his daughters Jackie (Chad) Kusser of Wall, SD; Billie (David) Zeveney of Clarksville, TN; Shelia Carroll of Maine; grandchildren Danny Muzik, Jada, and Kadence Kusser of Wall, SD; Josh and Derek Zeveney of Clarksville, TN; Carrie Crim of AZ; and Marek of Maine; brother John (Lois) Muzik of Forada; sister June Kay (Dale) Braaten of Holmes City, MN; nephews Steve Muzik and Jason Braaten; nieces Lola Randt and Cindy Burten. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Margaret Muzik; brother Ricky Muzik; niece Renee. A Memorial Service was held on Tuesday, March 8, 2011 at the Anderson Funeral Home Chapel with the Reverend Marilee Bergerson officiating.
