Diane Muenchow

Diane was born on September 1, 1956, in Minneapolis, Minnesota the daughter of Alvin and Delores (Doyle) Schmidt. Diane was united in marriage to Neal Muenchow on July 25, 1981, at her parent's home in Brooklyn Park. After their marriage the couple lived in Minneapolis before moving to Montevideo in 1987. They raised their three children in Montevideo and moved to the Kensington area in 2004. In 2006, she was diagnosed with Parkinson?s. Diane enjoyed making bars and cookies, fishing, hunting and rock-n-roll music. Her pride and joy were her five grandchildren. Diane passed away on Sunday, April 3, 2011. She is survived by her husband, Neal; son, Carl (Rachel) of Montevideo; daughters: Jessica (Jeremy) Duinkerken of Sioux Falls, SD, and Stacy (Jamison) of Alexandria; five grandchildren: Zoe, Aiden, Wyatt, Rylee, and Xander; mother, Delores Schmidt of Alexandria, MN, four sisters: Linda Bacon of Texas, Barb (Nick) Benson of Fargo, Julie (Barry) Aamold of Milaca, Paula (Steve) Anschutz of Champlin. She was preceded in death by her father, Alvin. Memorial services were held on Thursday, April 7, 2011, 1:00 p.m. at Anderson Funeral Home with Rev. Ed Borchardt officiating.
