Dolores Johnson

Dolores Evelyn Johnson was born on July 24, 1936, in Murray County, the daughter of Arvid and Florence Johnson.  The family moved to Alexandria when Dolores was a young girl.  She graduated from Alexandria High School in 1954.  After graduation she moved to the Twin Cities where she began her career in the hotel industry.  Dolores then moved to Oceanside, CA and was an auditor for LaCosta Hotel for 25 years.  She moved back to Minnesota and spent a short time in Robbinsdale before moving to Bethel Manor in Alexandria to be closer to family.

Dolores loved St. Luke’s Sunday School kids coming and singing on Sunday mornings.  She had a strong faith, good sense of humor and loved music.  Dolores also enjoyed taking her nephew, Scott to the movies and taking him fishing.

Dolores died on Wednesday, November 1, 2017, at Knute Nelson in Alexandria at the age of 81.  She is survived by her brother, Emeroy (Sandy) Johnson of Alexandria; nephew, Scott (Edna) Johnson of Miltona and James Johnson of Alexandria.  Dolores is preceded in death by her parents, Arvid and Florence Johnson and niece, Kristi Leason.

A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, November 17, 2017 at 2 PM at St. Luke's Lutheran Church in Garfield, MN. A visitation will take place for one hour prior to the Memorial Service at the church on Friday. Inurnment will be in the church cemetery.
