Donald Busch

Donald David Busch, died March 19,2008 at home in Leaf Valley, MN. Don was born December 11, 1929 to Adolf and Minnie (Miller) Busch in Hudson Township. He served his country near the 38th parallel during the Korean Conflict. Before his service he worked as a ranch hand in Utica, Montana. Don was united in marriage to Bernadine Klimek in Alexandria. He was married for 52 years. To this union were born five daughters and one son. Marjorie of Phoenix, AZ, Bonita Prescott (Dave Holm) of Alexandria, Roger of Northome, Nancy Busch-Christenson of Alexandria, Lori (Doug) Johnson of Fort Worth, TX and Brenda (Bryan) Hellerman of Parkers Prairie. Don?s grandchildren are David ?Bud? (Megan Schmidt) Prescott, Tanya Prescott, Megan Prescott, James ?Jimmy? Holm, Ben Hellerman, Brooke Hellerman, Robyn (Patrick) Martin, and Jessica Johnson; Great Grandsons Zachary Martin and soon to be Bronson Prescott; Step grandsons Ken (Denise) Holm and John Holm; and step great grandchildren Carter Holm and Rayna Holm. Don and Bernadine lived in Kenosha, Wisconsin from 1955-1958 and came back to Minnesota to raise their family on their farm in Leaf Valley, MN. Don loved his family, enjoyed hunting and fishing, but his greatest joy were his grandkids. Many nieces and nephews heard him tell a joke or two. He is survived by his sisters Dorothy Ruge of Wichita, KS and Marion Summers of Grove, OK. He was preceded in death by his parents Adolf and Minnie, his brother William and infant brother David. The funeral was at Seven Dolors Catholic Church and interment in the Church Cemetery. Pallbearer included Mark Miller, Jerry Busch, Allan ?Wally? Walberg, Mike Kopitzke, Ken Holm, John Holm, Ken Klimek, and Dan Arndt. Honorary Pallbearers are his grandchildren. The Busch family is very grateful for the services received through Hospice. Many thanks to family, friends, and neighbors who helped during this time. Their love and support shown made Don?s passing a special time. He will truly be missed by everyone who knew him. Arrangements are with the Anderson Funeral Home in Alexandria.
