TRIPP, Donna Jean (Rosengren)

Donna Tripp age 86 died peacefully on December 20, 2018 surrounded by her family. Preceded in death by husband Samuel, parents Axel and Meda Rosengren, Siblings Marjorie (Don) Davidson and A. Dean Rosengren.

Donna was born in 1932 to Axel and Meda Rosengren in Minneapolis, MN. She was baptized, confirmed, and married in the University Lutheran Church of Hope in SE Minneapolis. She enjoyed dance, accordion, and sports growing up. After graduating from Minneapolis Marshall High School in 1949, she worked as a secretary for Gamble Skogmo, Inc.

On October 7, 1950 she married Samuel Tripp. They had three children, Samuel C, Michael A and Lori, and resided in Mendota Heights, MN.

Donna was active in St. Stephens Lutheran Church in W St Paul and taught Sunday School, sang in the choir and was active in Ruth Circle. She was her husband’s secretary and bookkeeper for Tripp Oil Company until they retired in 1978 and moved to Grand Rapids, MN. They resided there until 1991 when they moved to Alexandria MN for the summers and Destin FL for the winters. In 2005 they started to go to Alamo TX for the winters. Since 2017 Donna resided in Eagan.

Donna enjoyed her family, friends, golf and bridge. She was a kind and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend.

She is survived by her children Sam (Jan) Tripp, Mike (Barb) Tripp, and Lori Tripp and her grandchildren Alisa (Derek) Huebsch, Ryan (Cate) Tripp, Michael (Andrea) Tripp, Samuel Thor (Kali) Tripp, David Tripp, Joshua (Alessandra) Tripp, and by her great grandchildren Briella, Jocelyn, and Merissa Huebsch, John and Lauren Tripp, Rhett Tripp, sister in law Shirley Rosengren and many nieces, nephews and friends.

Funeral Service Wednesday January 2, 2019, at 11:00 at EASTER LUTHERAN CHURCH (on the hill) 4200 Pilot Knob Road, Eagan, MN, 55122. Visitation from 9:00 till 11:00 at the church.

Second visitation (no service) on January 10, 2019, from 11:30 till 1:00 at ANDERSON FUNERAL HOME, 659 Voyager Drive, Alexandria, MN. Private interment at Kinkead Cemetery, Alexandria, MN.
