Doris Hoffrogge

Doris Marie Hoffrogge, age 74, went to her heavenly home on February 14, 2008. Doris was born on September 13, 1933 the daughter of Joseph and Louise Liebl. Doris was united in marriage to Marvin Hoffrogge on April 18, 1950. The couple farmed in rural Lamberton until Marvin retired in the mid 1980?s and then moved to Alexandria. Doris worked for Knute Nelson Memorial Home as Dietary Supervisor and wrote the Recipe Column for the Echo Press until her retirement. In July of 1999, Doris married Richard Schramel. They lived in Alexandria until the time of her death. Doris is survived by her husband, Richard; four children: Thomas (Joyce) Hoffrogge, of Lamberton, MN, Suzanne (LaVoy) Volesky of Boerne, TX, Karolyn (Brett) Nelson of Hendricks, MN, Amy (Erik) Thorson of Alexandria, MN; fourteen grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, three brothers: Darrell (Bev) Liebl, Dave (Karen) Liebl, Tom (Diane) Liebl with whom she so lovingly donated her kidney in 1981. She is preceded in death by her husband, Marvin; parents and brother, Bernard Liebl. Mass of Christian Burial was held on Wednesday, February 20, 2008,. at St. Mary?s Catholic Church in Alexandria with Father Steve Binsfeld officiating. Honorary Pallbearers were Nicolas Thorson, McKenzie Nelson, Katerina Thorson, TrustinVolesky, Tristina Volesky, Amber Fautsch, Melissa Hoffrogge, Christopher Peterson, Angie Gass. Pallbearers were Mat Nelson, Mike Nelson, Cory Hoffrogge, Jason Hoffrogge, Adam Hermanson, Gary Gruber. Burial was at Lamberton Cemetery on Wednesday, February 20, 2008 with Sister Judi Angst officiating. Arrangements are with the Anderson Funeral Home in Alexandria.
