Doris Agnes (Zilker) Zeithamer was born on September 29, 1912, in Alexandria, Minnesota the daughter of John and Agnes Zilker. She was baptized and confirmed at St. Mary?s Catholic Church in Alexandria. She attended District #24 Country School through the 8th grade. Doris was united in marriage to Rudolph Zeithamer on January 16, 1931. After their marriage the couple farmed in Lake Mary Township where they raised their five children. In 1969, Rudolph died and in the Fall Doris moved to Holmes City. She enjoyed cooking, baking, gardening, crocheting, sewing and canning. She was a caring person who was always there for her family and ready to lend a helping hand. Mrs. Zeithamer died on Friday, May 4, 2012. She is survived by her five children: Dorothy (Raymond) Trousil of Alexandria, Ruth Krause of Parkers Prairie, Rudy of Lake Mary Township, Kenneth (Arlene) of Farwell, Richard (Sonja) of Alexandria; eleven grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, Rudolph; granddaughter, Heidi; sister, Betty; daughter-in-law, Shirley; son-in-law, Lawrence Krause. Funeral services were held on Wednesday, May 9th, 2012, 1:00 p.m. at the Anderson Funeral Home in Alexandria. Burial was at the Bohemian Independent Cemetery in Lake Mary Township. Pallbearers were Kenny Zeithamer Jr., Steven Zeithamer, John Zeithamer, Roy Zeithamer, Ronny Zeithamer, Randy Zeithamer, Loren Krause, Larry Krause, Leon Krause.
