Dorothy Arnesen ( Roholt) Dorothy (Dot) was born on Nov. 19, 1925 in Minneapolis, MN to Lars and Helene Roholt . She was the 13th of 14 children. She attended school Minneapolis MN, Sioux City, IA and Eau Claire, WI. After graduating from high school in Eau Claire, Dot began her life?s journey. This took her to New York to live with her sister Gladys and family. While she was working in New York she met Paul Arnesen, who was attending New York University Medical School. They married in 1946 and started a family soon thereafter. Dot endured the deprivations associated with Paul?s internship, naval service, residency and medical practice. She supported him unquestionably as he pursued his career as an Orthopaedic Surgeon. Dorothy loved music, playing the piano and organ, especially when she could enjoy it with others. She had a smile that would light up a room and a laugh you could recognize and enjoy from a mile away. She lived a full life with her husband and was happiest when with family and friends. Along with her husband, Paul Arnesen, Dorothy is survived by her 4 children: Paul and Julie of Sartell MN; Glenn and Nancy of Las Vegas, NV; Marilyn and Jo of Portland, Oregon; and Phillip of Wisconsin Dells, WI. Her seven grand children and nine great grandchildren will miss her but will have great memories of their Grandma Dosie. Dorothy is now in God?s hands and knows what the ?Peace That Passeth all Understanding? means. She will live in the house of the Lord forever and her memory will last with us until we meet again.
