Dorothy was born on May 5, 1927 in Alexandria, MN, the daughter of Walter and Margaret (Birkhofer) Bradford. Dorothy was a lifetime Alexandria resident and member of St. Mary?s Catholic Church. Dorothy enjoyed golfing, reading, football games and bridge. Her favorite times were those that she spent with her family. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister. Dorothy passed away peacefully on June 3, 2008, at her home with courage and grace, at the age of 81 years. She was preceded in death by parents, Walter and Margaret Bradford, and brothers, Robert (Bud) Bradford and Thomas Bradford. Survived by loving husband Mick of 59 years; children: Michael (Cheri) Quist of Alexandria, Terry (Sue) Quist of Alexandria, Peggy Liedholm of Roseville, MN and Jean Quist (Kim Slogar) of Vadnais Heights, MN; brother, James of Yorba Linda, CA; 11 grandchildren: Becky (Charlie) Roehl, Andy (Tricia) Quist, Lori Liedholm (Grant Butler), Nick Paulson, Jessica Slogar, Emily Ness, Cally Quist, Austen Slogar, Kirsten Ness, Maggie Paulson, Thomas Quist; 5 great-grandchildren: Sam Roehl, Ella Roehl, Alex Quist, Charlotte Roehl, Emma Quist; as well as many relatives, friends, and her dog, Ernie. A Mass of Christian Burial was held on June 6, 2008 at St. Mary?s Church with Rev. Steve Binsfeld officiating. Entombment was in St. Mary?s Cemetery. A special thanks to Douglas County Hospice and the friends and relatives who were such a wonderful support during this time. In lieu of flowers, donations will be made to Douglas County Hospice and the Minnesota Braille and Talking Book Library. Arrangements were with the Anderson Funeral Home.
