Dorraine AnnaLee Boushley, 82, of Alexandria, previously of Fergus Falls, MN died May 2, 2011 at her home at Windmill Ponds in Alexandria, MN. Dorraine was born April 16, 1929 in Pelican Rapids, MN to Frank and Lena Ohman (nee Herting). She was baptized and confirmed at Loon Lake Lutheran Church in Vergas, MN. She graduated from Frazee High School in 1946. Dorraine married Earl Boushley on Oct 22, 1949, and they made their home in Fergus Falls for many years. She raised three children and also worked at Woolworths, Pamida, and Rosenblatts, before moving to Alexandria in 1987. She then worked at Iverson shoe store, Lora B?s dress shop and Target, and also spent several years working as a product demonstrator in different stores. Her enthusiasm, and wonderful personality made her a perfect fit for product demonstrations. Dorraine?s interests included crocheting, gardening, flowers, fishing and camping. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family at their lake home on Turtle Lake by Underwood, and later their home on Maple Lake by Forada. Dorraine was the true definition of mother and grandmother, and will be greatly missed. Preceding her in death were her parents, Frank & Caroline (Lena) Ohman, brother Fernard, husband Earl, sisters Bernice Aschnewitz, and Marlys Hegerle. Survivors include her children Gary (Judy) Boushley, Steve (Marilyn) Boushley, LeeAnn (Jeff) Leitch. Her grandchildren include Jenny (Michael) Westbrooks, Kelly Stenvold, Kerry Boushley, Melanie (Chris) Cornejo, Christy (Kevin) Schreifels, Brian Leitch, Dan Leitch, and four great grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Steven & Jacob Schreifels, and Oliver Cornejo; sister, Margie Mayfield. Memorials are preferred in lieu of flowers. A memorial service was on Thursday, May 5th, 2011 at 3:00 p.m. at Shalom Lutheran Church in Alexandria, MN, with burial at Fort Snelling National Cemetery at 12:30 p.m. on Friday, May 6th.
