Douglas Raymond Schneider was born on July 13, 1960 in Ortonville, MN to Donald and Darlene (Vanmill) Schneider. He attended school in Alexandria. On August 24, 1979 Doug was united in marriage to Dawn Wagner in Alexandria. To this union the couple was blessed with four daughters. Doug worked at Continental Bridge as a painter for 29 years. Doug enjoyed his Harley Davidson, 4 wheeler rides, being outside; hunting and fishing, spending time with grandchildren and family, which he was always there for. Doug died on Saturday, October 6, 2012 at the Douglas County Hospital at the age of 52. He is survived by his wife, Dawn; daughters, Trisha (Mike) Berneking of Farwell, Tanya Schneider of Almora, Tara Schneider of Alexandria, and TieAnna Schneider of Alexandria; grandchildren, Jasmine White, Hailey Carlson, Carter Berneking; sisters, Debra (Dave) Kalkman of Gardner, KS, Melody (Duane) Haabala of Brandon, Sandra (John) Stevens of Pittsburg, PA, Ginger (Kevin) Martinson of Big Lake, and Jody (Dave) Gwinn of Alexandria; and many nieces and nephews. Doug was preceded in death by his mother, Darlene; daughter, Tessa, and niece, Madison. A memorial service was held on Wednesday, October 10, 2012 at the United Methodist Church in Alexandria with Reverend Jeff Hansen officiating. Inurnment was held in the Pioneer Park Cemetery in Moe Township. Honorary urn bearers were all of Doug?s nieces, nephews and great friends.
